Housing the Missing Middle and Why Homeownership (still) Matters
Landed is on a mission to help educators (and other essential workers) build financial security near the communities they serve. One of the ways we do this is by investing equity alongside educators when they are ready to buy a home.

Nikki Lowy is the director of partnerships for Landed where she focuses on making Landed's down payment support accessible to public employees across the region. Prior to Landed, Nikki spent her career in the real estate industry, previously at Project Frog, a provided of green, prefab buildings for schools and at the Urban Land Institute, a nonprofit real estate education and research organization.

She will focus her talk on why middle-income workers have been uniquely impacted by the Bay Area housing crisis (leading to the origins of the term 'missing middle') and how Landed sees it's role as one of many solutions needed to address this challenge.
