Moringa, Orphans and Rotary

Bill Imig is a retired Colorado attorney and lobbyist. He is a five year member of the Denver Rotary Club where he serves as a Trustee of the Denver Rotary Club Foundation, a member of the World Community Service Committee and in various other capacities.

Beginning in 2017, he spearheaded a Rotary project that purchased a Moringa leaf dryer which helps a Zimbabwean orphan care center to become self-sustaining. In April 2018, he and his wife spent two weeks in rural Zimbabwe at the center. Ten Colorado clubs funded the project which benefits not only around 850 orphans, but also provides community employment and significant health benefits. Bill’s talk and photos will describe the project, the orphans and 5 schools that benefit, and how through Rotary the project has survived notwithstanding government corruption, total economic collapse and skyrocketing inflation.
