Improve your physical and mental health with TaiChi

For 15 years, I was a ski instructor in the Tahoe area.

When I hit my 60's, I could feel my balance was declining so I started taking classes in Tai Chi, which has a well-deserved reputation for improving balance. After four years, I switched from teaching skiing to teaching Tai Chi. Besides definitely improving my sense of balance, I felt calm, centered and happy after practicing.

I teach Chen style Tai Chi, which is the oldest style, and actually originated as a martial art. Some people practice it as such, but most people practice it for the health benefits of better circulation, balance, body alignment, leg strength and the good feeling it produces when practiced with intention.

Studies have shown that regular practice of Tai Chi can improve many health problems. Currently, I teach TaiChi classes virtually for the City of San Mateo and in-person in Saratoga on Saturday mornings.
