On April 19th, we gathered together at the beautiful home/art gallery belonging to Carol Woodard. In this beautiful setting, we assembled to honor the memory of our dear friend and fellow Rotarian, Roger Austin.
As we enjoyed delicious food and drinks, we remembered the profound impact Roger had on our lives and within our community. With champagne toasts (several!), we celebrated not only the incredibly adventurous life he lived but also the legacy he left behind—a legacy of service, compassion, and unwavering dedication to the principles of Rotary.
Twenty-six of us came together to mourn the loss of our dear friend, Roger, but also to acknowledge his impact on our lives. It was a time for reflection and remembrance—and more than a few shared stories provoking both laughter and tears as we revealed our favorite memories of Roger, some of which many of us had never heard previously.
As many of you know, Roger loved a good party and we did our best to give him exactly that – an evening of joy and fellowship. Together, we paid tribute to a life well-lived and take solace in the knowledge that our recollections of Roger will continue to inspire us for years to come.
